Q: How do Artist's Clubhouse classes work?
A: The Artist's Clubhouse program is designed to lead artists through a series of guided projects over the course of 44 classes annually, with unlimited re-enrollment.
Classes will be held, on average, 4 times each month. Clubhouse Members are encouraged to work on their projects outside of class and during open studio times, to grow skills and increase the quality of their work.
Projects will include 2D artwork, 3D artwork, mixed media, drawing, design projects, craft projects, process art, and exploratory conceptual work.
Some digital artwork and techniques will be explored, however the Clubhouse is primarily a screen-free atmosphere, encouraging both independent and collaborative hands-on art-making.
Dedicated Clubhouse Members may be chosen to celebrate and showcase finished works at the annual Cashmere Creative Artist's Gala.
Q: Am I required to sign up for a full year?
A: The Artist's Clubhouse program is designed to take members on a multi-year journey to discover and refine their creative voice. Recurring annual registration is encouraged, however we also offer 3- and 6-month enrollment options, with various payment plans.
Q: How long is each class?
A: Classes for young kids (up to age 9) run for 50-60 min.
Classes for kids (up to age 13) run 1.5 - 2 hours.
Classes for teens and adults run 2.5 - 3 hours.
The additional minutes of class time are for students desiring more time to work on projects or ask for help/feedback.
Q: Do I have to pay for materials?
A: Most materials are provided, however if the group collectively selects projects which require specialty materials, we may issue a materials fee.
Q: Are classes non-refundable?
A: If after 3 months of attending classes, you decide the program is not a good fit, you will receive a refund for the remaining tuition amount you paid, no questions asked.
Q: How is tuition priced?
A: Monthly pricing for the Artist's Clubhouse is currently $245/person for medium-size groups (6-10 artists), and $320/person for small groups (3-5 artists).
Q: Can new members sign up if the program already started?
A: Yes, the Artist's Clubhouse is designed to welcome members at any point in the journey. This does depend on whether space is currently available for new students.
Q: Where are classes held?
A: Right now Artist's Clubhouse classes are being held in our West Caldwell studio, however we are currently finalizing details on a second, larger location in North NJ- and if you're reading this now, you get to have a say in our final choice!
Fill our an interest form below to signal interest or pre-register.
We will announce our larger, second location once all studios are full.
Our new location will be based on the most central location that works for the majority of aspiring Artist's Clubhouse members.
Q: What if myself/my child has no prior artistic skill or talent?
A: Class meetings are project-based so no prior skills are needed for projects to look beautiful!
Projects are guided with templates and a customizable project book to help learn skills passively. Members can relax and follow instructions, or also practice active creative decision-making by choosing to customize their work. The project book has been designed to help develop artists seeking to refine their individual style and creative voice.
Q: Can myself/my kids + a group of friends sign up together?
A: Absolutely - pre-formed groups are welcome to apply.
Q: How are students assigned to group cohorts?
A: We group students by age (kids, teens, or adults) and also factor in skill level to
match you with the most enjoyable experience possible.
Q: Are projects customizable?
A: We offer a proprietary artistry guidebook to all Clubhouse members, which offers suggestions to customize projects with the guidance of our expert teachers, if desired!
